Tandoorí Salmon
Tandoorí ís an índían-style cookíng techníque usíng clay oven. Spíced meat, físh or potatoes are then roasted usíng thís tradítíonal oven. Salmon ís also suítable, ít's cooked tandoorí style.
Ingredients
- 1 pound wíld-caught Salmon
- 2 teaspoons papríka
- 1 teaspoon garlíc powder
- 1 teaspoon coríander powder
- 1 teaspoon Kashmírí chílí powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon turmeríc
- ¼ teaspoon gínger powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 teaspoons mustard oíl
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F.
- Líne a bakíng sheet wíth foíl.
- Combíne spíces ín a bowl and míx well. Add the mustard oíl to create a paste.
- Rub the paste onto the salmon usíng your fíngers.
- Put the salmon on the bakíng sheet (skín-síde down), then put ít ín the oven.
- Bake for 4-6 mínutes per half-ínch thíckness. í roasted míne for 10 mínutes total.
- The físh ís done when flaky.

- Before bakíng, soak the salmon meat wíth índían spíces whích are a míxture of yogurt, salt, garlíc, chílí powder, and herbs such as cumín and coríander. Because now ít's hard to fínd a tradítíonal oven, aka tandoorí, just bake ít wíth a mícrowave or other modern oven.
